May 6, 1856 – in Freyberg town, in the Czech Republic was born Sigmund Freud. His mother was Amalia    Nathanson, who was born in Brody in the Lvov region of Ukraine, but grew up in Odessa. Father was Jacob Freud, was born in the city of Tysmenytsia Ivano-Frankovsk region in Ukraine, 1815.

1881 – Sigmund Freud graduated from the Medical Faculty, University of Vienna and took the PhD.

1876-1882 – Freud worked for E. Brucke in the physiological institute of Vienna.

1884 – Worked with one of the leading Viennese doctor – Josef Breuer, who conducted a research on the treatment of patients with hysteria, through hypnosis.

1885-1886 – Freud worked in the Salpetriere hospital in Paris with the French neurologist Jean-Martin Charcot.

1895 – Freud, for the first time opens the mystery of dreams the villa “Belle Vue”.

1896 – The psychoanalysis was officially recognized.

1900 – Was released the fundamental work for the whole of psychoanalytic theory “Interpretation of Dreams” written by Freud.

1902 – Sigmund Freud was appointed professor of neuropathology at the University of Vienna. After some time was formed a circle around Freud’s followers.

1908 – Takes place the First Congress of the International Association of Psychoanalysis.

1911-1913Carl Jung and Alfred Adler are moving away from Freud. For him, the gap was quite painful and that it leads to the separation of the theoretical core, and tighten the framework of psychoanalysis.

1915-1917 – At the University of Vienna, Freud advocated with great course called “Introduction to Psychoanalysis”.

1930, Sigmund Freud becomes the winner of Goethe’s Literary Prize.

1938 – Freud was forced to leave Vienna after Nazis took over Austria. In his escape from Vienna, Freud helped the U.S. Ambassador to France William Bullitt, Greek Princess Marie Bonaparte and the British psychiatrist Ernest Johnson.
