What is Heaven and what is Hell

Once a righteous man was talking to God and asked him: ”Lord, I would like to know what the Heaven and Hell look like.”

God led him to two doors. He opened the first one and held the man inside. There was a large round table, on the middle of which stood a huge bowl filled with food, which smelled delicious.

Man madly wanted to eat.

The people sitting around the table looked hungry and sick. They all looked dying of hunger. All of them had spoons with long-long handles clamped to their hands.

They could reach the bowl filled with food, and collect food, but because the handles of the spoons were too long, they could not bring spoons to mouths.

The righteous man was shocked to view their misfortunes.

God said: “You saw the hell.”

Then they went to the second door. God opened it.

The scene that saw the man was identical to the previous one. There was a huge round table and the same giant bowl, which made his mouth fill with saliva.

The man saw the people sitting around the table, holding the same spoons with very long handles. Only this time they looked well fed, happy and immersed in pleasant conversations with each other.

The man was astonished: “How is this possible? I do not understand …”

“It’s simple,” - God smiled, - “They have learned to feed each other.”
