If you really care about yourself and your health in general, you might be interested on how to improve you brain memory. Your mind is really connected to your body in many ways we don’t even imagine. So this means that if we want to take care of yourself and want to get old in the best way, we also have to make sure our brain remains healthy and young.
Many studies have demonstrated that when someone takes some action to improve the brain, memory improves as well. In fact, as it is a function of our mind we need to improve the latter before we can think of the other getting better.
There are lot of factors that damage the brain and that can affect memory as well. If you read my other articles or website, you know that one of the reasons why brain gets damaged the most is the way we work in the modern age. Multitasking is one of the killers of our brain functions and it causes damages that go well further than simply memory issues.
Other things we need to pay attention to are stress and the environment. Stress can be good in little forms and sporadically. For instance, before a great event in which someone is protagonist or before an exam, stress is almost necessary. It can help in focusing and improving the performance as well. However, when it becomes overwhelming and it continues over time, it becomes harmful. Stress hormone cortisol is released in the blood stream and negative effects become evident.
It’s been demonstrated that children who suffer from stress and anxiety due to maybe stressful family environments perform much worse than other kids with normal family conditions. Of course, this translates to adults as well.
So you want to get rid of stress as much as possible. I know that it might not be very simple. However, some practices such as constant physical activity and meditation can reduce dramatically the stress in your life.
Other things we need to pay attention to in order to improve the brain and improve memory are the foods we eat. As you might know, junk and empty food not only harm your body and increases the chances to become fat and get some diseases, it also harms your brain functions and aging process.
Foods containing anti oxidants such as spinach, green tea, broccoli and many others not only will help you in your general health, but also more specifically they will definitely help you improve your memory. Again, body and mind are connected and therefore when we eat something that is good for our flesh, so to speak, it becomes great also for our psyche.
Finally, sleep is crucial for our memory and brain as well. Getting high quality sleep and in the right amounts will help you improve your memory and not only that. In the sleeping process, in fact, memories are reinforced in our subconscious and this is one of the reason why many studies have demonstrated that the things done right before getting asleep are those that are very likely to be remembered better than others done during the day. Of course, it also depends on the quality and the importance of the things we did.
So you learnt few key factors to improve your brain and your memory as well. I strongly encourage you to take action on these immediately to see results.
